Artist Liu Bolin was inspired to create "camouflage art" by some of the animal species seen in China. Bolin is a 35 year old from Shandong, China, but his art is appreciated at an international level. He describes his art as a protest toward the government who shut down his art studio in 2005 and continues to persecute artists.
Each of Bolin's pieces can take up to 10 hours to complete. He's known to work until he blends in perfectly. Sometimes people walking by don't even notice that he's there until he moves. After he's done painting, he is photographed blending into his environment.
